Set deep in the red-light district of Paris lies Club D’amour, a back-alley bordello known for its high society clientele; and whilst the club relies on the discretion of its patrons, it’s very well known for its outrageous and down-right debaucherous soirees.
Led by its gender bending madam of mystery, the show introduces a multiplicity of talented artists, expressing their sexuality through live performance. The show follows a male circus performer who portrays the club’s resident courtesan, in a story of forbidden love with his closeted male client.
Delivered through a flirtatious fusion of live music, dance, burlesque, circus and other art forms, Club D’amour encapsulates the different facets of finding love; from lust and desire to heartache and torture, whilst exploring the intricacies of sexuality, gender expression, and finding comfort in self-love!
