Fiona Chandler's highly anticipated return to Manyung Gallery Mount Eliza with her solo exhibition, "I LIKE YOUR HYPERBOLE" is a show inspired by the Australian landscape, how connected we are as people to it, how excited we get recognising the colours, the textures, how surprised we are by what we are actually seeing in scale and size.
The connection to where we have lived even when we're far away, how colours and shapes can bring the viewer back to memory and then sharing those discussions of memory . The depth and saturation achieved with watercolor - a medium that is often an entry point for art.
" ...it's that sharing of stories that I'm continually interested in what sparks people's imagination and what brings them a sense of connection and connection with my paintings; that connection to where we live and a connection to other people.
