How We Rise is a response to place. Watch the dancers break and flow over and around each other as we explore the power of ocean waves.

How We Rise is an experimental dance performance by queer identifying Naarm/Melbourne based artist and choreographer Zoë Bastin.
Join us to celebrate the premiere of this new iteration of Zoë's ongoing project Waves Are Disturbances. Working site responsively to the waves and coastal ecologies of Merricks Beach, _How We Rise _uses waves as a poetic allegory to explore ideas of consent and control in personal and political contexts.
Featuring original music composed and performed by Grace Ferguson, dancers will traverse highly rigorous improvised choreography in an emotionally compelling hour-long performance.

How We Rise is generously supported by the Mornington Peninsula Shire and Crittenden Wines
